ATLANTA-raised drummer Christopher “Chris Drumz” Belcher is considered the “complete package” of a true percussionist, infiltrating the music scene in his hometown by playing gospel/soul/hip-hop/jazz & Big Band shows. He has played for artist such as R. Kelly, Rocko, Bangladesh, Pastor Troy, J Holiday, Silk, Majee, Kim Burrell, Lacreisa Campbell, Kathleen Bertrand, Kenny Garrett, Phil Davis and among many others. 
Chris's diverse musicality allowed him to open up shows for big stars such as Terrence Blanchard, Fantasia, Branford Marsalis, Rachelle Ferrell, Freddie Jackson, Jo Sample, Patty Austin, Ramsey Louis Trio, Barbra Morrison, Howard Hewett, and a host of others. Chris has made worldwide television appearances, performing in a McDonalds commercial featuring Clark Atlanta University’s Drumline and Fox 5 Atlanta Morning Show performing with the world renowned CAU Jazz Tet.
Chris Belcher, also known as "C Breezy", was born in Queens, New York, and at the age of three he migrated with his mother and sister to Atlanta, Georgia. At the age of seven he began playing drums at church (The Ministry of New Life) where his grandmother was the Founder and Senior Pastor. His first professional gig was performing the Grammy Award winning song, "I Believe I Can Fly" alongside his elementary music teacher at his 5th grade graduation. Chris continued to groom himself as a dynamic musician during his teenage years while in high school. He received several awards and accolades such as, Outstanding Musicianship Award, Jazz Band- Louis Armstrong Award, Creekside High School Most Talented Musician, and Most Gifted from the McClendon Music Institute to name a few.
Chris Belcher lead his high school Jazz Band to win back to back jazz competitions that allowed them to perform in one of the biggest jazz festivals in the country, “The Atlanta Jazz Festival”. While still in high school, Chris was scouted out by the Clark Atlanta University Band Director, Cedric Young, and a world-renowned jazz legend, James H. Patterson. He received a Jazz Orchestra Guild Music scholarship to attend both Clark Atlanta and Claflin University in South Carolina.
In 2004, Chris Belcher took over as the head drummer for the world renowned CAU Jazz Orchestra, which has performed locally, nationally, and internationally with numerous jazz artists, including Duke Ellington, James Moody, Dizzy Gilespie, Wynton Marsalis, Branford Marsalis, Ellis Marsalis, Nancy Wilson, Sarah Vaughn, Clark Terry, Jon Faddis, Mary Lou Williams, and Frank Foster.
While in attendance at Clark Atlanta University, he performed professionally in award shows such as, The Trumpet Awards, Soul Train Awards with R. Kelly, ATL’S Hottest Awards, The Atlanta Jazz Festival, Samuel Jackson Tribute, Ambassador Andrew Young Tribute, and the 2004-2012 NAACP Annual Mayors Masked Ball just to name a few. While attending school Christopher received training by the legendary percussionist Billy Moore, who was the drummer for the Grammy Award Winning Ray Charles, from 2004-2010.
From his matriculation at CAU to now, Chris has become one of the most passionate, and influential musicians that the world has ever heard. In 2008, he began performing full time for the Atlanta Braves at Turner Field. In 2011, he was endorsed by the Fortune 500 Company Coca-Cola to tour and perform at HBCU Classic games.
In 2012 Chris was nominated for ATL's Hottest Musician by ATL's Hottest Awards held in Atlanta, GA.  He was currently voted as ATL'S Hottest Musician for 2013-2014. He has recently auditioned and was casted to go on tour with 2012-2013 hit show DRUMLINE Live.  In 2012, Chris was the featured drummer to perform with the World Renown Atlanta Symphony Orchestra for their annual Christmas Concert.
Throughout Christopher’s success as a percussionist, he has reached back to help the youth in his community by holding drum clinics to local schools in Atlanta, Georgia. February 2013, Chris was the recipient of the Global Infection Award for enhancing communities and families through music. Because of his passion for teaching young adults, Christopher accepted the position at Pebblebrook High School as a Percussion Director.
Along with all of Christopher’s’ accomplishments as a musician, he set the stage by winning the 2013 Sam Ash Worlds Greatest Drummer Contest held in Atlanta Georgia.  He is also was the 2013-2014 Guitar Center "Drum Off" Store Winner and Regional Quarter Finalist. Christopher is now endorsed by Home Depot and will be on tour with them from 2013-2015 for ESPN “GAME DAY.”  Chris also made a guest appearance on the hit television show "The Originals" in 2013.
Christopher is also the CEO of Chris Drumz Summer Music Camp held in Atlanta, GA, which provides music education to Atlanta city youth.  Christopher was endorsed by Coca Cola to perform at the 2014 Essence Festival held in New Orleans.  Fall 2014, Christopher was the featured opening drummer in the VH1 movie, “DRUMLINE 2”.

In May of 2015, Christopher joined with his sister Tiffany Rose Belcher to form the Chris Drumz Foundation Inc. Its mission is to impact generations and communities through the spirit of music and education.

In May 2017 Christopher received his Masters in Social Work from his alum, Clark Atlanta University. He is currently employed with Communities in Schools Atlanta.
Throughout his music career Chris has remained grounded in his faith, being thankful for every opportunity that has come his way. “I know this gift is from God, and the only way for musicians to touch lives, is that musicians have to perform and play in spirit.”
